Your workday (what does that look like?)

At Settle we start early. At 07:00 you come in, greet your colleagues and grab a cup of coffee together. You briefly discuss what needs to be done today.

Your working day is varied. In the morning you and your colleagues will start working on a series production of designer chairs for Arco. You ensure that each chair is perfectly upholstered, sleek and neatly finished. Around 9 o’clock a short break, just relax.

After the break, you might help with a custom piece: a luxury designer sofa for a special villa abroad. Together with colleagues, you discuss how to approach this. You can also think creatively and learn from experienced upholsterers. In between, you make time for quality control and occasionally get the right materials from the warehouse. At 12 o’clock we have lunch together in the canteen, have a laugh, eat a sandwich and then continue.

If you already have experience, you may help a BBL student in the afternoon to understand the profession better, for example how to finish a corner nicely and neatly. At 16:15 the day is over, and on Friday you only work until 12:00. That means a nice long weekend, every week again!
